1979 a dream of mum and dad Marini came true. In the middle of a large fruit plant they had the opportunity to build their little house. Not at all easy times: oil crises, high interest on loans. However they gave it a try, with a lot of ambition and hard work - as you can see they made it. Time passed and further plots of land were bought in the following years. Just to mention aside: our hotel was one of the first with an indoor swimming pool and traditional outdoor pool followed not much time after.
At the end of the 80ies the Hotel Marini was the first and only in the village with an own underground parking for all the guests. A new hotel wing, with spacious rooms in a suite stile were added. The rooms in the master house have been renovated and also the lobby with the reception got a face-lifting. Slowly Mrs. Marinis passion for the garden, plants and flowers from all over the world started.
2005 we added a further wing to the hotel - so far the last important milestone - the acquaMARIN. The new indoor swimming pool, the gym and more space on the terrace with the stunning view over the city of Merano added a lot of value to our hotel. Last but not least the natural outdoor swimming pool - an absolute dream for all those with the nature as one of their passions.
Every year we change something, we renovate, we add - always aiming to make your stay more comfortable and your vacation an unforgettable experience. Meanwhile the second generation also works on this mission - the third generation is not old enough yet but very engaged to be a good host.
