In the Hotel Marini you can experience a number of special weeks highlighting the garden and the nature. Some of those are the Garden-week and the Rose-week in May. But for all those who love flowers and gardens the area of Merano should not be missed.
The city of Merano
The gardeners of Merano really take care of the city, the plantation and cultivation of the flowers along the Passer and in the parks is amazing. Highlight of the city is the Meranflora, a fair held every third year at the end of April. The next event in 2010 should not be missed.
The botanical garden of Schloss Trauttmansdorff
You must have heard of the most beautiful botanical garden in Europe. Located close to the city of Merano in a beautiful area with a size of about 12 hectare. The entire setting is split into 4 different areas according to the plants country of origin.
A number of events such as the garden-nights during the summer months are organized every year.

The maze
The winegrowing estate Kränzel is located in Tscherms (just before Lana - 15 min drive) were not long ago an amazing maze opened. The idea was to create a garden as piece of art. The highlight is the labyrinth cultivated with 10 different kinds of vine.

At the garda lake - Il giardino Hruska - Andrè Heller's garden of artists
The garda lake is worth a day trip. A tip for all those who love gardens is a visit of the Giardino Hruska in Gardone about 40 km south of Riva. What do you think of Andrè Heller is up to you, but with his garden he created an incredible piece of art. An amazing variety of plants from all over the world and sculptures of artists like Roy Liechtenstein, Mimmo Paladino and Keith Haring can be seen.
